I’ve noticed the lack of keyboard shortcut documentation on the ‘Twitter For BlackBerry’ app. It’s in an invite-only beta stage so I guess that’s why (Thanks to @dumskull for the invite). Until it’s made public, here’s your little guide:

  • Update: T
  • Reply: R/L
  • Retweet: F
  • Direct Message: C

Go to your twitter profile and scroll down to RSS feed and you’ll get something that looks like this:

Do you want to transfer this feed to FeedBurner? It’s simple, just follow these four easy steps:

  1. Go To Your RSS Feed
Go to your Twitter profile and scroll down to the end of the right column and you’ll see a RSS icon. Click it and copy the page address (or right click the link without clicking and copy). It should be something like this http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/15391375.rss
  2. Login to FeedBurner/Register
  3. Add your username and password to the URL
You need to change the http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/15391375.rss to http://username:password@twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/15391375.rss
  4. Paste the modified URL to FeedBurner and modify your settings!

See, it’s that simple. Now you have your feed and you can do whatever with it. Submit to an RSS directory, use it on your blog etc.

Why Tweeting is Better Than Blogging The Internet

January

2010

We all know Twitter, and we all know what it’s about and how its eventually cure AIDS, cancer, and the next big disease; all with 140 characters! Cool, eh? :-D Blogging on the other hand is much more.. complex, I guess.

So let’s get to the point..
Why?

You know those 140 character messages you send on Twitter? Yeah them. They’re called tweets and not twits.

Twits are pregnant goldfish. I don’t see how they have anything to do with birds and Twitter. Oh and just so you know, I think Twitter knows what they should be called. :-)

  • Gray market iPhone or operator iPhone?

    Gray market iPhone pros:

    1. I get to keep my number.
    2. Jailbreak! (More features)

    Cons:

    1. No Internet Access.

    Operator iPhone Pros:

    1. Internet Access
    2. Warranty (I definitely think I’m gonna need that)

    Cons:

    1. I have to get a new phone number.
    2. No jailbreaking.

    Which I should choose?

  • Wow. TwitterFox really helps you stay Twitter-ified.
  • Google Chrome is fast. Might consider switching; permanently.
  • Been having a shortage in Randomness Juice lately.
  • Windows Live Messenger 2009 = Total awesomeness.
  • Almost finished Metal Gear Solid 4, for the 9th time.
  • Guitar Hero: Metallica seems good. For now.
  • I’m starting to dislike phpBB.
  • I keep forgetting to post asides.

How do you decided which app you want to download that suits your needs? You go with the popular one of course. Lots of people use it, that means it’s not that bad. Well guess what? You’re wrong!

Twitterific
TwitterFon

Well first you don’t get an annoying ad between each tweet with TwitterFon. Second, it has more features such as retweeting. Third, An easier to use interface. Fourth, a search feature. Fifth, no annoying tweet sound when you receive something new. Sixth, it’s free. Seventh, you can moderate your tweets (deleting etc.). Take that Twitterific!

Twitter The Internet

Yeah, you noticed I had the twitter thingy up yesterday for a few hours. Well the good thing is that my Internet Provider un-blocked it! Bad thing is, I can’t get Twitter Tools to work. Hopefully I will in a few days. Here’s my Twitter page.

“What’s Twitter?”

Twitter is a service that answers the question “What are you doing?” or as I like to put it “What the fuck have you been up to?”. It keeps friends, family, co-workers updated with each other and helps them connect. Unlike Facebook, MySpace, Hi5 etc. Twitter is simple and easy to use.

“Why Should I? Make Me!”

Why? Because even basic updates are meaningful to family members, friends, or colleagues—especially when they’re timely.

  • Eating soup? Research shows that moms want to know.
  • Running late to a meeting? Your co–workers might find that useful.
  • Partying? Your friends may want to join you.

“How Does It Work?”

Simple, you just login post what you’re doing and log out. Plus the site loads quickly. Or you can update from your phone, or from some other tool (eg. Twitter Tools (WordPress Plugin)). Unlike many modern social networking services, there’s no “information overload” .

Twitter, IMO, is the way all social networking services should be, simple, easy to use, and useful. Many things seem to be lacking that word nowadays, including this blog :-P
